The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine (CFWH) provides management and consulting services to healthcare providers in the area of wound care and hyperbaric medicine. By focusing on the needs of the patients as well as the partners we serve, The Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine is able to bring advanced wound healing strategies to many communities around the country. As an integral player on the multi-disciplinary team, this position will be responsible for providing transportation for our patients.
Qualifications & Training:
Applicant must have a valid BLS certificate from the American Heart Association.
Must possess good verbal and written communications skills.
Must possess the ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
Upon consideration, applicant will agree to a background check as well as a drug testing.
Must possess a valid Drivers License with a satisfactory driving record. A chauffeurs endorsement may be required.
Prior experience with patient transportation preferred.
Medical certification preferred (i.e. EMT, CNA, MA, etc.).
Principal Duties & Responsibilties:
Preparation and transportation of all ambulatory patients referred for treatment.
Provide center cleaning operations on a backup basis as required.
Recognize change in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately as it relates to transportation.
HIPPA Compliance – complies with all of the Privacy and Confidentiality Policy and Procedures.
Adheres to all Patient Safety Initiatives and Infection Control Procedures as outlined in the hospitals safety manual. Also adheres to appropriate usage of Hospital resources, supplies and equipment.
Assists in coordinating patient transport scheduling and moving of patients to and from treatment gurneys with hyperbaric/wound care technicians.
Occasional travel to other centers on an emergency basis (travel expenses will be reimbursed).
Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required to meet patient needs.
Perform duties as directed by Office Manager/Program Director within scope of practice and other unit related duties as assigned.
