Position Summary: Reporting to the Sr. Director of Human Resources, the HR Generalist is responsible for staff support in every aspect of human resources, assistance with human resource related projects, and the execution of all recruiting and training efforts. This position requires travel throughout the U.S. more than 50% of the time.

Qualifications & Training:
Minimum 7 years’ experience as HR Generalist
Three years of extensive, hands-on recruiting experience
Two years’ experience creating and presenting training material
Strong employment law and compliance intelligence
Exceptional MS Office, including PowerPoint
Bachelor degree in human resources or related field preferred
Healthcare Industry preferred
Outstanding communication and intrapersonal skills
High level of professionalism, integrity and trustworthiness
Self-motivated and ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Able and willing to travel more than 50% of the time

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

General HR Support:
Overall HRIS proficiency to assist basic employee requests
Benefit administration and open enrollment
Quarterly 401(k) and medical audits
Payroll function as a backup
Compensation reports and market research
HR budget tracking
Continuous HR compliance support
Employee Relations
Employee Status Changes and Terminations
Employee Handbook updates
Provide back up to Executive Assistant as needed (Web-Ex Meetings, Travel, Business Cards, Scrubs, Expense Reports, etc.)
Special projects as assigned

Recruiting Specific Support:
Work with Sr. Director of HR to assess need and approval for new job requisitions
Lead the recruiting process, including but not limited to, sourcing candidates, screening candidates, setting up interviews, assessments (Aptitude/Ability, Word/Excel), reference checking and hiring recommendations
Support Sr. Director of HR on creation of job offers; execute background checks and drug screen requests upon acceptance
Lead credentialing process to ensure hospital clearance by employee’s first day
Support Sr. Director of HR with the Onboarding Checklist to prepare Program Director and New Employee for an exceptional onboarding
Complete new employee orientations as requested and process paperwork as appropriate
Support new clinic openings as required (on site interviews, extended onboarding, training, etc.)

Training Specific Support:
Annual training and record keeping (harassment/discrimination, employee handbook, annual competencies, etc.)
On-site Open Enrollment meetings (Medical, Aflac, 401(k))
Create new and update existing HR policies; train/communicate
Confirm each clinic is UHMS compliant in regards to staff certifications required
Work with Program Directors and Sr. Director of HR to create training plans in line with training budget and execute as approved
Support the Sr. Director of HR with succession planning initiatives
Process Training Requisitions and execute Training Agreements as required
All staff 90-Day and Annual Performance Review execution, follow up and record keeping
All staff Certification and Vaccination tracking; update in HRIS
Create new training material to enhance new employee’s 90 day performance; train on general material and assign others to train on job specific material
Create new training material for all staff and/or groups of staff as needs are recognized (i.e. in-person training, web-based, etc.)
Create and/or plan team building events for each clinic
Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by a human resources generalist to successfully perform the essential competences, duties, and requirements of this position. These include sitting at a desk for a prolonged period of time and those that would accompany occasional travel (i.e. walking, lifting, sitting, standing and driving).
